Need plots for starting campaign in blackgate

Hi all,
I am starting a new campaign in Blackgate (danigau) and i cant think of an easy introductory adventure/plot idea.
Only one of the players made a history so (a khinasi bard that has a weakness for the siren....) that wont be a help right now either.

the other character are all rjurik related, but no history background.

any suggestions?

Have them hire on as caravan guards to the Rjurik kingdom of Kvigmar. Along
the way raiding goblins from Urga-Zai could attack the caravan, and after
the caravan is over-run, the party has to trek through the mountains to
escape and make it back to civilization. No matter which way they choose,
you can drop them right into the middle of some dungeon here or
there.....yadda, yadda. If the caravan survives, a tough old Rjurik man
(who owns the caravan) promises the party mucho loot if they track the
goblins back to their lair in the mountains of Raka-Zai and return both an
item they made of with (say they stole a crate with a magical suit of armor
meant for Jarl Ulrich of Kvigmar) and the head of the idiot goblin chief
that sent his minions to attack.

Hope that gives you a couple decent ideas.

Perhaps Volse Redbedtehr wants to hire some thugs to discredit or capture his sister Ilse so he can take control of her guild holdings?
OR
be hired as marines on one of the Redbedtehr's ships that ply the trade routes. Attacked by Grabentod pirates. fun stuff.
