[top]Biography

framed|Grovnikk Glössevik

The History of Grovnikk and the Glössevik clan seem to start a century ago, in 480 MR, when a group of renegade dwarves started to plunder and raid the villages around the city of Lazzgrad. What is known is that the Glössevik clan was once a minor clan in Daikhar Zhigun and was exiled by some deed done by the patriarch Koin Glössevik. Some say that Koin had Grovnikk and his 6 brothers and sisters kidnap a princess in Drachenward, but it was never confirmed and anybody too curious ends up dead.

Around 490 MR Grovnikk killed his father in cold blood and usurped the title of patriarch of the family. This changed the ways of the clan, as Grovnikk was tired of simply surviving and wanted to reclaim the mines and settlements of the Range. He tried to put the dwarven colonies against the Lazz family by slaughtering several farmers while trying to put the blame to the resident dwarves, however one night after they had burned 3 farms consecutively there was a confrontation with the Tsar's infantry. The priests of Belinik praised Grovnikk for his power lust, and he won a trial by duel that granted him an hearing with Tsar Rodel. The Tsar granted the dwarves to live as swuz in the mountains.

When Marisha Rodelovisk stepped in as regent, Grovnikk had a second hearing. It was then that the true potential of the Dwarves was recognized. Willing to share the ancient secrets of dwarven weaponcraft, The tsarina helped Grovnikk found a guild by reclaiming the remnants of the old guilds. The Dwarvers then introduced advanced mining and metallurgical techniques to the Vos kingdom; the Vos kingdom introduced them to the idea of slave labor.

At first Grovnikk ruled the guild as a master and managed his brothers as they were mere servants. When the guild expanded, each brother was promoted with a province, while Grovnikk kept the control of the City of Rzhlev's trade.

Grovnikk often travels to visit his brothers, as he doesn't trust them. He is not afraid of starting a blood duel if necessary. However, after the rebellion of Molevof, the guilder has put his sight and thoughts against the preachings of Belinik, as the same church who spared him for his cruelty seems now too soft for his needs. Grovnikk is trying above all to enforce slavery as a permanent condition, while tries to open new trade channels besides raiding.
