OCP - SC Election Results
Hi all,
Well, the votes have now been counted and the first Steering Committee of
the Imperial City of Anuire will be made up as follows:
- Magic: *Darren Cooper*
- Law/Government: *James Ruhland*
- Military/Defence: *Joran Lindblom*
- Guilds: *Scott Koester*
- Miscellaneous/Other: *Mark VanderMeulen*
Congratulations to the new committee members. Thanks must be extended to
all of the nominees, who were all of a very high quality. Many of the
voters said that they had quite a difficult task deciding who to vote for.
I have to say that I am glad that I did not vote myself :-). Last, but
certainly far from least, I thank everyone who took the time to vote.
I will send off a separate email to all of the people who have been
elected, as to what is going to happen next. I would suggest that anyone
who has not yet signed up for the project does so soon. By the end of the
coming week, things should have been sorted out to the stage where everyone
has been allocated to their respective groups and the actual design work
should start soon thereafter. So if anyone out there is waiting to see if
this project is going to get off the ground, stop waiting now because we
have lift-off as of now.
The steering committee will have to decide on a general 'feeling' for the
city, to ensure that everyone is on the same wavelength. We will not be
developing rules for the designs, but some general ideas. So id all those
who are interested in this project would like to start some discussions on
this topic, please go ahead (use either the list or the message board). The
sorts of things I am talking about are population (not exactly, but
roughly), level of magic, general layout of the city (ie. on one or both
sides of the Maesil River, etc). Your ideas will be of great help when
these sorts of things are decided on. The Steering Committee members
themselves will probably have some of their own ideas, and may need help
from others within their design group to perform certain duties. These will
be communicated to you later.
Keep any of those submissions coming, and make sure you sign up.
Simon
