What seems to be wrong with this guy already described in PS of Tuarhievel? And btw. Taeline is not a noble family nor does it have any estates or rule over any provinces. It is a last name given to all taelinri.

Everything. The PS of Tuarhievel is one of the silliest documents produced with the BR logo.
However, according to this document, he is noble, a scion of the house of Tuarlachiem, so it says, with a bloodline of 30 Reynir.
He serves the Barony of Dhoesone, how can one imagine he doesn't have estates? That's how one gives rewards in a feudal system, lands and titles.

What an elf uses as their name, and what a human understands by it could be two very different things.
Even PSoT happily uses Taeline as a surname - do you expect Rhuimach to explain to the humans what it means and why he does not use the family name Tuarlacheim from which he is cast out?
Some wisdom is to be hidden from the younger races, all shame doubly so.
The page is written from the 'half-elves are humans taken on elven ways' position, and I use the alternative 'half elves are hybrid children' approach, but either works.

I have moved the discussion of Tuarhievel over to the discussion page of Tuarhievel.

I just started changing all of these links of [[Taeline]] to [[Talinie]] when I realised that there might be something deeper to this.
Is Rhuimach
- lord of Taeline? If so, what and where is Taeline?
- lord of Talinie? If so, why is he not mentioned on the Talinie page.
- a Taelinri lord?
Either way, we need to express it the correct way on the wiki.

To quote the wiki page:
In time Rhuimach was made the Captain General of Dhoesone, and so Tuarhievel possessed the army of Dhoesone. Unfortunately the human guilders continued to abuse the land, and in Talinie, Torele Anviras was sent to demand an end to the abuses and the destruction of the Aelvinnwode in Talinie, Torele sought to explain to the humans of Talinie the folly of their ways. His arrival back home was not what he expected. He dramatically reappeared, declared himself the mage of Talinie, and urged a new course in affairs. Needless to say, a new course was not adopted. Perhaps Torele's expectations about what was possible, let alone probable, were not realistic, but bitterness soon became a hallmark of Torele's demeanor as he found humans unwilling to become elves.

Well, unnecessary unconnected detail is not really proof of anything. Is there actually anything that indicates that he's from Talinie?

I think Torele's story was stuck in there as a part of the attempt to place Hanner Sidhe at or near the heads of neighboring human lands. Some editing might make this more clear.
One could portray this as an initial effort, that has not yet borne fruit.
Edit: and I agree, he seemed to have no connection to Talinie, that should be removed.Last edited by Lee; 08-11-2009 at 06:33 PM.
