Typical Dialogue:

Once a squire, champion, and then Steward of Gerold Moergan, Jaison turned against his mentor and patron as age sapped his power, and stole his birthright and his domain, making himself the defacto Duke of Osoerde.
The cruel duke delights in dominating those who are weaker and demonstrating his own might. Those who challenge him are punished by the infliction of pain. Jaison is justifiably insecure about his power, and prefers to attack those who challenge him, rather than risk a defeat in defense. This is true in argument, in battle, and in politics. The duke is arrogant and sneering, and liable to under-estimate his rivals, however he is also a controlling perfectionist who likes to have everything in place before he acts. Jaison is a also somewhat cautious and calculating, preferring to move after he is sure he will be victorious. He may spar and skirmish with rivals to test them, but he will hold back his main force waiting to act until he can achieve a victory. He is secretive and keeps his plans, goals, allies, and resources secret, preferring to keep his rivals off balance. Of course all know that Coeranys and Aerenwe despise what he's done and that Jaison regards them as enemies.
Jaison is handsome and proud of his appearance. Vanity is a part of his arrogance.
