[top]Biography
Sixth son of a minor Alamian noble, Donar inherited nothing more from his family than his armour, a blade and a lust for glory. He won his fine warhorse from another knight errant in a duel and now challenges other knights in jousts both formal and informal to earn his wealth.
Donar enjoys all manner of combat, although he scorns mere pugilism as fit only for ruffians. He has won a mixed reputation – the common folk welcome the aid he has provided against goblins and ruffians, while several minor nobles have seen him claim their armour after he defeated them in battle or they have had to pay a forfeit to retain it - the sale of armour is Donar's main source of income and he attends every tourney that he can.
Donar prefers to fight until his opponent yields, but will kill if need be. So far he has avoided being accused of murder for his fights are almost always proper duels making any death legal – or he has slain in self defence or in some other legal manner, but sooner or later some grieving parent will demand that justice prevail over law and that Donar be hanged for the death of their child.
Purpose: Rival, foe, ally, matter of justice: Guilty by politics, innocent in law.

[top]Plots and rumors
[top]Fey beauty
Donar spotted a vision while riding the forest hunting bandits, a woman of such surpassing loveliness that he sees her yet when he dreams. His ‘Lady of the forest’ has entertained him from time to time (mainly when he passes through Hidaele) however only when he has some great deed or victory to boast of.
From time to time she has set him some task to prove himself to her, that Donar cannot recall quite where she lives, in what manner of abode she dwells, or explain how he has, from time to time, visited her home while far from Hidaele, or purely in his dreams – yet woken with her token in his hands – is something that leaves him unconcerned, she is his and he is hers whilst they are together – and no more seems needed to him. That her quests often result in him gaining wealth, fame, or a good fight only encourage him to welcome service to her.
