Stark, raving mad are often the words used to describe Carilon Alam?s son, Taelan Alam. Born during the night of one of the worst storms in modern memory, Taelan?s traumatic childbirth killed his mother, Elaene Laraeth, and left his father in grief for many years. As a child, Taelan endured frequent illnesses that left him physically weak and emotionally scarred.
