IIRC, you get the Gorgon`s banner by defeating him and his troops in a battle.

Gahh i just found out hammer of thunder doesnt ACTUALLY make your weapon +3 to hit and damage. Its just a free low level lightning bolt spell.

Does that mean the other magical weapon(Sword of roele) doesnt give any bonuses either....that would suck.

Couldnt find the sword of roele in castle aglondier.Checked everywhere, used the map, etc.

The part where you go through the window, into a dark area with some lietenants, and then into a dark passage to an underground area......sword wasnt there. There was a door that opened to a dead end,a jail area, and the treasury with the key.No sword.Oh there was a otogy or something in the dark passage but nothing else.

The reason the mechanics seem so broken is because, back in the day, they really were. We all remember the cards with the icons and +/- system . . . I don't know how many times I had a unit of Elven Knights commanded by a battlewise character get thrown back by infantry or even archers! That random "-3: R" just drove me nuts. I think the situations you are describing are simply the result of that.

I didn't mind the game, really. Yes there were a LOT of problems with it, but you didn't buy it for the polish, you bought it because you were a fanboy.

    Archangel out.
