Are you saying that there are no halflings left living in the Shadow World? I don't recall reading anything implying that they have all left the Shadow World only that the ones in Cerilia did.

An idea I got from this post was to have the PC`s experience important
events by watching the shadow versions unfold, and then returning to see the
aftermath of the the more familiar Cerilian side events. In Cerilia, much
talk of noble purpose, duty, honor but the players see the shadow side, much
giving in to base emotions, hate, revenge, and malice. Very much the two
sides of the same coin kind of thing.

This is a *VERY* cool idea! Upon return to Cerilia, the ruins they witnessed in the S.W. are all about them, but the cause/instigator(s) might have been quite different. If the players are new to the S.W. they might easily be lead to believe that the Real World events mirrored the S.W.s exactley, and thus cause all sorts of misunderstandings.Originally posted by kgauck

Lots of potnetial here for messing with the player's minds.
As for S.W. Ravenloft conversions, I've been slowly trying to do something with the "Shadow Rift" adventure. I figured I could change the Erlking in there into the Rhoubhe elves and turn the "Shadow Rift" itself into the Rhoubhe Valley. Those cool litle evil faries on the cover (can't recall what they're called) make wicked Unseelie."You need people of intelligence on this mission... quest... thing."

So, the evil Halflings in the sphere in Baldur`s Gate 2 could be the
ones from Shadow World? I thought they were from Athas, but Athasian
Halflings are really not evil.

Athasian are not evil... Feral yes, evil no. They have no qualms about
eating other intelligient races. They are degenerate and feral.
Personally the coolest version of halflings I`ve run across in DnD yet :)

My father was lord of the Andu, ruler of a million souls, but not once did he ever claim me as his son. All those years I waited for a single word from him, a simple acknowledgment of my birthright. But, not even on his death bed did he claim me as his. So do not speak to me of your loneliness, you who have never been as alone as I have been all my life.
