.mp file program questions

I Have downloaded some maps... they however have the .mp extension which my computer doesn't recognize. While I have been looking for the program to open it i have had little luck and would appreciate some help.

heh someone else sent me an email asking about it awhile ago also. I'll just respond to this post instead of your message, as it will cut down on getting asked.

First of all: for maps its much easier to just go to the cartographers guild website to get the maps of Cerillia. Here: Cartographer's Guild

However, if you want to use the .mp files then I believe it is a Monochrome Picture TIFF Bitmap file. I'm not 100% certain, however, I believe that the program found here would allow you to view the picture.
