The Hag

Has anybody done anything with the Hag? I'm planning on sending my PCs
off to confront this sweet little darling and, though I already have a
basic plan for the adventure, I'd like to hear any brainstormed ideas
you folks might have.

My players went to confront the Hag, only to find her already dead!
(Man, did that get 'em confused.)
Anyway, it turns out she had come into posession of a sword of enormous
power with its own vile intentions. (enormous power for Birthright,
anyway...) She had been content to sit in her mountains and throw little
darts at Drachenward and Grabentod all her life, but this weapon wanted to
do much greater damage to the world than that. Her lieutenant found the
sword, it seduced him to betray the Hag and kill her, steal her foul
bloodline, and run off to become the ruler of the world of darkness or some
such thing.
Nothing like giving the PCs all the stuff they didn't expect. They just
couldn't figure out why somebody came in, killed her, and left all the
spoils behind. (Which was what they figured to be the only real reason to go
Hag hunting in the first place...) hehehe

Playing with the Hag?
One of the novels mentions a mage providing the party with protections
against Charm. Definitely useful.
Of course, the novel says the Hag knew they were coming and you should
probably assume that will happen to the party too.
