Actually, monte Cook has a Prestige Class design school on his website. He actually gives you some guidelines to make a prestige class.

Also something to consider:
We shouldn't create something that already exists. For instance, the Defender of the Great Kingdom (from Sword and Fist) could easily be used (perhaps slightly changed) as those knights who wnats to restore the Iron Throne. The name is even close to be perfect. The Shadow Adept? Why not steal it directly from FRCS? That was probably what you intended, but one can never now...
