Vito, there are two problems:
1. You do not understand the scope of what you're planning to undertake.
2. You do not hold the rights or licences to produce interactive products based on WotC IP.
Arius, be very very careful. Inclusion of any form of AI or even automated character generation will bring you unwanted legal attention.

you could always make a module for PCgen (currently supports many d20 systems, inc modern/spycraft, original and others)

you could always make a module for PCgen
1)
PCgen is not really oriented "domain management"
2)
The generation of personage does not do left the notebook of the loads ( analyse of my software ).
3)
I consider that my knowledge in java and in English are not rather correct to work with them
4) the portability of my software

Ah. As long as the computer doesn't create anything and is just used for the number crunching, you're fine. Thus there are two basic guidelines:- You can automatically generate characters as long as your program acts as a batch process. E.g. you select what classes/race/name/traits and then press a "generate" button.
- If you want to generate characters interactively with the user (like in PCGen), you cannot include a dice roller for stats etc, but you can support (take input from) an external or third party one.

how come a char generator is so strictly copyrighted? I am only asking, cos it seems odd to me.... Just for conversation's sake

Well from what i have seen of PCgen (the last few days only...) you can add that sort of information in... i have already worked out how to put BP and RP into the normal stats page, it isnt hard to do.

Basically, the d20 "open" licence only covers publications - is specifically prohibits the creation of "interative software" based on the system.Originally posted by A_dark@Sep 14 2004, 07:31 AM

Licences must be obtained directly from WotC/Hasbro and (now Interplay have collapsed) Atari are the only organisation currently licenced to do so.
It's intended to stop people making unlicenced D&D computer games but as what actually constitutes a "computer game" cannot be easily defined, WotC/Hasbro's lawyers have to pick something they can define and then stick rigourously to that.
Hope that makes some sense!
CM.
