Bloodline Ability Score Modifier
What is the modifier used for when you look at Table 2-2 in the 3ed rules? I can't find a place where it is actually used to modify anything and am a bit lost, sorry for such a silly question.
Just to tag on another silly question, what are the scores for each level of Bloodline Strength? Minor is from what to what for example.

While it doesn't specify exactly what a bloodline check is (somehow that concept got lost) it applies to any of those made just like an ability check (Con for instance). These are made to resist bloodline derivation changes due to bloodtheft and some bloodline abilites call out bloodline checks also (for example Blood History)

The two are unrelated, although a higher strength generally corelates to a higher score (taking scion class levels increases the score).Duane Eggert

2nd determinatin fo bloodline score went like this:
Tainted 4d4 (4 to 16)
Minor 5d6 (5 to 30)
Major 8d6 (8 to 48)
Great 8d8 (8 to 64)
So it was possible, although unlikely, to have a tainted bloodline with a higher score than a great one.Duane Eggert
