    Before his breech with the Church, Henry was awarded the title Defender of
    the Faith because of a theologoical tract he wrote opposing Luther. The
    Crown of England still posseses this title as head of the Church of England.

    This is absolutly true. There are three axis to consider for any NPC
    priest. His piety, his level, and his political ability. Piety and level
    have nothing to do with political ability and its that last skill which
    places you in the church heirarchy in a position of authority.

    This is concisely put, and a view I agree with. History shows this
