That is similar to what I do in my game.
I rule that when a blood character has died, his power passes on to his
chosen sucessor, or into the land itself. Resurrecion goes against the
natural order of things, so when a formerly blooded character is
returned from the dead, he no longer possesses any bloodline, although
there is a chance that some small part of his former power still
remains, giving him a bloodline of 0.
