Artificer

Class » Artificer

AD&D Birthright doesn't have an equivalent to the artificer class. Since it is a low magic setting, it is not common to have casters creating magical items, certainly not complex semi-mechanised ones. Cerilia is not Eberron, so the artificer was not included in the BRCS 3.5e version of Birthright.

However, if you want to include an artificer in your campaign, you might want to prevent or limit the capability to make firearms or similar technologies, since they are not current for Birthright. An artificer will have to be blooded as it relies on casting true magic. Alternatively, you could use a wizard that specialises on using magic to buff and enhance existing equipment, maybe using trigger-sensitive warding spells that can be recharged daily.
