Siech

Siech is a Vos term for "fortress", usually made of earth and wood. The log forts are surrounded with the massive abatis made from entire trees, hence the term "siech". It is a noun derived from the verb "to cut" and denotes the abatis type of fortification, i.e. by cutting the forest.
