Viking Doctrine

The Viking Doctrine has a long tradition among the Rjurik of the coast but it upholds very little that is dear to Erik. It is more of a combination of some of Narikja's more martial embrace of the sea and Sera's risk-taking and wealth-seeking. It holds that the right use of the sea is to strike with surprise against the unwary and take what they cannot protect. Such "vikings" do not normally engage in piracy so much as they land on distant coasts or up distant rivers and raid others and carry off loot.
