War varsks are the battle-steeds of the Vos, powerful creatures that thrive in the frozen wastelands of the north. A varsk appears similar to a great, white-furred lizard.
The war-trained varsks are the battle-reared versions of their other wild or domesticated varsk counterparts. They are purposefully trained for the sole role of carrying Vos warriors into battle and to use their powerful natural weapons with enhanced efficiency.
Varsk are most commonly encountered in combat along with their Vos masters. They are aggressive, and do not fear combat, though wild varsks fear fire.
Combative Mount (Ex): A rider on a trained battle varsk gets a +2 circumstance bonus on Ride checks. A trained battle varsk is proficient with light, medium and heavy armour.
