Aura of Despair (Su): The Chimaera radiates an aura with a 30-foot radius. Enemies take a penalty on AC and saves, equal to her Charisma bonus (minimum 1).

Madness (Ex): The Chimaera uses her Charisma modifier on Will saves instead of her Wisdom modifier, and has immunity to confusion and insanity effects. A further benefit is that she retains knowledge of her main spellbook without needing Spell Mastery feats. The Chimaera cannot be restored to sanity by any means short of a miracle or wish spell. The madness of Danita provides a +6 bonus to her Charisma score and a -6 penalty to her Wisdom score. If she is restored to sanity she gains 6 points of Wisdom and loses 6 points of Charisma. However, she must make a DC 25 Will save to keep her attacking immediately in beast form when she is angered by insults, attacks, or mere whim.

Morphic Immunities (Ex): The Chimaera is adept at distributing her form's vital organs around her body to keep them safe from harm. When in beast form, the Chimaera is immune to stunning and extra damage from critical hits.

Morphic Body (Su): The Chimaera can use its precise control over her form to make itself stronger and heartier. It gains a +6 to Strength and +6 to Constitution when in her beast form.

Shapeshift (Su): At will (or sometimes involuntarily; refer to the Madness ability), Danica can shapeshift into her fearsome beast form, that of The Chimaera. It requires only a swift action to shapeshift, and she can do so any number of times per day, for as much time as she likes.
She keeps all extraordinary and supernatural special attacks of her normal form. All her held, or worn gear melds into her new form and become non-functional until she returns to her normal form. She cannot speak in her beast form, and can't cast spells in beast form.

In beast form, she takes the form of a large, predatory chimera with two humanoid arms. The humanoid arms can be used to wield weapons (made as secondary attacks) or to activate one wand (made as a swift action, once per round). She also gains a primary bite attack that deals 2d6 points of damage and two secondary claw attacks that each deal 1d6 points of damage; however, if flying she can make a bite and four claw attacks. Her size increases to Large, and she has the reach of a long creature of her size (5 feet). She gains a +8 enhancement bonus to Strength, +2 enhancement bonus to Dexterity, and a +6 enhancement bonus to Constitution, and her natural armor bonus improves by 9, but her Intelligence drops to 6. Her base land speed stays the same, but she also gains a fly speed of 50 ft. with poor maneuverability. She also gains Hover and Multiattack as bonus feats whenever she is in beast form. The Morphic Body and Morphic Immunities abilities apply when she is in beast form, as well.

The natural weapons that she gains (and reach with those weapons), gain an enhancement bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls equal to ¼ her total Hit Dice (including those from bonus HD), and they are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
If knocked unconscious or slain in shapeshifted form, Danica reverts to her original form.

When in humanoid form, her statistics are as follows:

[top]Spells (Caster Level 13th)


Danica casts spells as a 13th level wizard (having a total of 4/6/5/5/5/4/2/1 spells per day), and commonly prepares the following spells:
7th (1) mass hold person (DC 24);
5th (4) cone of cold x2 (DC 22), sending, wall of force;
3rd (5) fly, haste, nondetection, vampiric touch x2 (DC 20);

The save DCs for these spells, where applicable, is 17 + spell level. Note that she cannot cast spells in beast form.

Via her Madness ability, she retains knowledge (as though via Spell Mastery feats) of the above spells, plus: 7th- waves of exhaustion; 6th- circle of death, geas, repulsion; 5th- nightmare, symbol of pain; 4th- locate creature; 3rd - 0 no others.

Danica used to have a much broader range of spells in her spellbooks, but when she gained the Madness ability, her awnshegh nature forced her to destroy her spell books and research. It is possible that she has a spare set of spell books somewhere, but they are not be in her tower, and she has probably forgotten where they are if so.

The Chimaera has a Great bloodline, derived of Azrai. Her score of 64 grants her the following blood abilities:
The saving throw DCs for these abilities, where applicable, are 24 for minor abilities, 27 for major abilities, and 30 for great abilities. The caster level, where applicable, is 16th.

The Chimaera carries the following equipment: Bracers of Armor +5, Headband of Intellect +4, Potions of Cure Serious Wounds x3, Wand of Fireball (CL 10th; 25 charges), two masterwork daggers.
