Located in the province of Bellam, the Tarkal Deeps are a region of caves and abandoned mines in an isolated chain of hills near the Roesone/Ghoere border. Fear of the unknown has lead to rumours about an army of Orogs, a newly created awnshegh, and even a sinister cult practicing human sacrifice running throughout Bellam.
There are old goblin strongholds, dating back to the time before Deismaar. Even if the goblins were driven off more than 800 years ago, many monsters have made their lairs there again and again.
It's also rumoured that a secret passage between the hills leads to Ghoere or even the Spiderfell.
