The spell enchants some tools, which then provide an enhanced skill bonus to a specific skill.

The tools imbued with the magic grant a +2 circumstance bonus on the use of one particular skill. The bonus increases by 1 for every 2 caster levels. A skilled mage and master craftsman could create legendary works through the use of this spell.

This spell is popular in Brechtur and in Karamhul lands for all sorts of craftsmen, and used also in the larger Anuirean and Khinasi courts on the master craftsman (usually a weaponsmith or armourer) of the court.

[top]Tips and Tactics


The spell effectively increases the skill of the craftsman targeted, as such it will result in weapons and tools of masterwork quality being more common in the area.

[top]AD&D spell version


The tools add 1 to proficiency checks with one proficiency. The bonus increases by 1/5 caster levels.
