Biography:

The Dhariel family is one of the great houses of the Northern Marches. Their scions are famed for questing and for heroic deeds. Their lineage can be traced to within 200 years of Deismaar, though it is unclear which of several champions of Masela is the founder of this line.
The son of Aulay Dhariel, Rogr is the Count of Hidaele. He lacks the heroic nature of his cousin, Vertico Dhariel, but manages his estates well and tends to his duties. Vertico was fostered as a page in his uncle's house, but Rogr was away, being fostered as a squire at the time. The Counts of Dharilein are the senior line, Vertico has a higher bloodline, and his victories against the Blood Skullers mean that Rogr acknowledges him as the head of the House of Dhariel. Rogr follows Vertico in politics and stands ready to fight with him against dangers from the Giantdowns or the Blood Skull Barony. Rogr hopes to foster his son in Vertico's house when his son, William Rogr, becomes a squire.
Rogr enjoyed 6 months of wedded bliss to his wife Tieghan Gaskard, unfortunately that was 10 years ago. Rogr's refusal to seek further advancement, acceptance of subservience to his cousin and lack of heroism that might win him fame have won him the scorn of his wife. Rogr in turn is disgusted by Teighan's greed, and cannot comprehend her laziness or occasional cruelty. Rogr has come to seek solace in the arms of more kindly souls and these affairs have done nothing to repair his marriage.
Rogr has a daughter Faelan Dhariel in addition to his son William Dhariel.
