Male Anuirean Wizard 3; CR 3
First two levels of Rogr Aglondier are considered to have been in Magician class because he was unblooded. Hit points and skill points for the first two levels have been calculated using the Magician class. On becoming Blooded, Rogr has lost all Magician class features and received Wizard class features from the first two levels, except the Scribe Scroll feat. Players playing Rogr Aglondier should select spells from their first two levels from the list of Magician spells, but they should avoid spells that Wizards cannot cast as Rogr was not in position to learn them from his late master.

[top]Biography:

Rogr Aglondier is the reluctant regent of the Free City of Ilien, on Anuire's southern coast. A former magician before he inherited the Aglondier bloodline, Rogr, like Guilder Kalien in Endier, has the tricky task of safeguarding a one-province realm against his far larger and more powerful neighbors.

The jocular Rogr Tilgentor was once an exceptional commoner, supporter, and friend of Moeran Aglondier. Rogr Aglondier has been the apprentice, supporter and friend of Moeran Aglondier for the past decade. He studied magic, though, as an unblooded human, had no chance of rising far in the ranks of true magic. Moeran took him as an apprentice, and having no other wizards in the family, made plans to pass his domain to Rogr. Rogr never felt so astonished as the morning when he woke up to discover he had inherited the old man's bloodline and the Free County of Ilien. Since that time, Rogr has taken up the name Aglondier, as per Moeran's will, and vowed to continue the Aglondier line.

Now with Moeran's untimely death, the fledgling Rogr is thrust into the regency of Ilien unexpectedly. The suspected assassination of Moeran has unnerved the new regent of the land. Despite the assurances of Seneschal Godene Aenier, Rogr remains extremely concerned about a potential assassin loose in the Free City of Ilien.
Rogr is a widower, his wife having died during the birth of his daughter Alliene Tilgentor. Alliene is a member of the Eastern Temple of Nesirie, and Rogr's only trusted lieutenant. Despite this tragedy, Rogr has lost none of his lust for life and always makes sure to take in the simple pleasures of the moment. His rotund build, bushy beard, and his thinning yet still fiery mane of red hair have made him something of a favorite of the children in the court, a role Rogr relishes.

Rogr is a jolly fellow, with a quick and infectious laugh and extremely popular with the commoners. He rules wisely and well, doing his best not to repeat the mistakes of the regents around him. Neither ambitious nor proud, he?s willing to admit his faults. His people enthusiastically support him, for he keeps their loyalty high and their taxes low. Roger is an extremely intelligent individual, and the power he possesses coupled with the teachings of the old Count and his own growing skill makes him a formidable ruler. Rogr is the only known wizard in Ilien. Yet despite his light hearted nature, or perhaps because of it, Rogr remains very aware of the seriousness of his position and the potential threats to his people and always seeks out the best way to preserve their safety and independence.
