Niamh Khorien is the wife of Maerde Dhalaese, Count of Dhalaese. They have three boys and a daughter, Haelynor Dhalaese, William Dhalaese, Lanval Dhalaese, and Haeluse Dhalaese. She is the daughter of Albert Khorien and Ailbhie Isilviere.
Niamh was in charge of the household of Fhiele Boeruine while she was an infant and child. When Fhiele was twelve years old, she was summoned to court and Niamh's duties had come to an end. Fhiele has become something of a wild young lady, and Niamh laments that she was not under her care longer, or that she was given some other supervision after her childhood.
