[top]Biography:

Luther Weissbaum is the second lieutenant of tsor Ivan Polavich.
Luther was born as the only child in the Weissbaum family. Never was this one patient enough to work his way in merchant circles. His mother died a year and a half after he was born, so he was raised by his father, whom he accompanied on his trade trips. Luther had a great teacher and at the age of 22, he inherited his father's trade.
Today, Luther Weissbaum is a man in early thirties who seeks fame and fortune. His career as a merchant in Brecht domain of Müden was not so successful. He wasn't quick enough to match the cunning of others that put him out of business. So, with his father's legacy lost and a shame to his name, he gathered his remaining wealth and set destination for the unknown.
Luther learned of the small domain of Melyy, where his skill could be accounted for. It was a perfect spot, a peaceful land for starting a trade among the ignorant and unambitious Vos in a sleepy land located far on Luthkovski Peninsula. Diplomatically, he approached the tsor and explained to him the opportunities he could realize for this realm. The tsor needed someone to organize the production and investments, someone who has an experience in economic affairs and to relieve him of that duty which was out of his bounds.
Luther proved himself a valuable player and in the following years became one of the trusted associates of the tsor. With organized trade affairs, Melyy managed to put some of the profit into its treasury. Luther was in process of forming his own guild when the news came that silver was found in Orlenaskyy Mountains. He counseled the tsor of the importance to get involved in the process of extracting silver and the chance for Melyy to truly grow into a competitive domain. The tsor was not thrilled with it, his thoughts were that this could attract raiders and Melyy would soon be overrun by backstabbing profiters.
But, a twist in the plan came in the form of Jana Kuruven, a guildmaster of the Hook River Guild. Although the tsor does not hold any law holdings in the province of Buzu, Luther has formed an agreement with Jana to give her the tsor's unofficial acknowledgment to form a guild network throughout the province. That way, Jana controls affairs of Buzu for a small token of gratitude that Luther satisfactorily puts into his private treasury, informing the tsor of marvelous results in extracting the silver and new prospects that arise from it.
Luther was in process of creating his own guild before the findings of precious metal. Now, he is rethinking that plan. After all, silver needs to be molded into a fine silverware and someone needs to place it on the market. And Jana shouldn't put all of this heavy work onto her tender shoulders.
