Typical Dialogue:
Fhiele I beseech you, when rebuilding the army make cavalry its core! Dhoesone is a scattered realm with few roads ? what other troops can cover the land swiftly enough to protect the realm?
A match for Alara with Marcus? I?d sooner she marry an elf! He has a cruel streak a mile wide and I like not the hungry look in his eye!
Giant raiders? They?ll find us made of sterner material than Clumine's poor boys - to arms!
[top]Biography:
Fanatically interested in horses, the count has long been a vocal proponent of cavalry. One of the few ?fighting counts?, he often leads his troops against goblin and gnoll raiders, even against small bands of rampaging giants!
The loss of his son Colier, squire to knight at the battle of Harper?s Point and continued failure by the Baroness to impose order across the realm has led Gaeled to become bitter at Fhiele?s failings. Once a merry rake, the count has withdrawn from court life and become dominated by his grasping wife Briende Huire.
Gaelen?s remaining joy in life comes from his two daughters Erin and Alara who he is ridiculously proud of, Gaelen's main concern now is finding a good husband for Alara as Colier's death has left him terrified that cruel fate will take his daughters too.
Gaelen has several cousins and the like, one of the more notable of which is Lauriel Riven, one of the few remaining priestesses of Nesirie in Dhoesone.
