Typical Dialogue:

[top]Biography:

Corbett Tuor is the youngest child of Jaedime Tuor, Countess of Tuor's Hold, and Arden Cariele. His grandfather, Berric Cariele was the last of his line to be Baron of Cariele. The pretender Entier Gladanil claims to be Count of Cariele now.

Two prophecies have been written about Corbett. One is that he will die in Cariele, the other is that he will join the the sword and eagle of the north and the rider of the east and march to his destiny, where he will praise the moon. Corbett's mother, Jaedmine, fears his obsession with Cariele, especially in light of the prophecies written about him.

Corbett was sent to Medoere in order to keep him out of sight of the rulers of Cariele since as a child he wanted to claim Cariele for his own. Since Mheallie Bireon's arm doesn't extend that far south, Corbett was inducted as a novice in the temple Ruornil's Celestial Spell. He hates Mhaellie Bieron with all his passion and would nothing like to exact a fair revenge. But his time in the Ruornite Theocracy has tempered his own passion somewhat. He learned Ruornite doctrine under the careful eye of Altaweir Enlien, his mentor. Ruornil's Celestial Spell teaches compassion, spiritual strength, and the reigning in of passions. The doctrine is also based on freedom, since many Medoereans enjoy a light government under the Sacred Voice.

Corbett is independent with an inner strength and fighting spirit. He grown up in the difficult surroundings of one of the critical courts in the Heartlands, where schemes and intrigues are everywhere. Corbett has always instinctively seized control so he will not be controlled. He is acute at being able to figure out others' weaknesses and will often attack others physically or verbally when provoked. Confident, decisive, and courageous, even more so than his sister, Francine Tuor. His mother, has seen the type many times in the nobility of Tuornen and among her own family. Brash and aggressive, imbued with the spirit of the Stormlord, and dead at a young age. Francine was sent to the Western Imperial temple to discipline her passions. Corbett would not bend, as his mother knew, and her hope was that the Celestial Spell would give him a cerebral mastery of his passions.
