Bitter Winter

Stjordvik » Bitter Winter
In the second year after the Rjuven arrived in the Highlands after the Flight from the Shadow, winter fell early and hard. Crops froze in the ground and animals took to winter hibernation or migration that made hunting much more difficult. Waters froze as far south as Dantier Island.
At this time, three chiefs fought over what to do. Stjorndahl had his own vision of what to do, but firmly believed that attempting to convince others who had their own plans was a waste of time in a crisis. Stjorndahl told everyone he could of his plan, but did not attempt to win over those who rejected his idea. He advocated nothing more than marching south until they found green. So he and his followers took their animals and marched south.
