    Question Random digit?

Is the "6" after "Bonus Languages: Any." there for a purpose? It seems just a typo, but it has led to one of my players fervently arguing that Elves get at least 6 bonus languages. :)

As it wasn't in the BRCS on BR.net it was a typo, it is now fixed. Nice try on your player's part though.

Cheers, fantastic! That player's one crafty rules-lawyer. Sometimes it's annoying, but I like how it forces me to stay sharp. :)

Probably very very late to actually ask questions like this but I do want to know why two features were removed from the Elven race in the 3.5 version of Birthright:

    1) Not having to sleep at all but instead passing time in physically restful activity which could include memorizing spells and standing watch. In the version on the Wiki page, they instead enter reverie for 4 hours. I don't think this was too unbalancing. Why the change?

    2) Nature Stride: Main difference between this and the 3.5 conversion is that Elves also could not be tracked whether by foot prints or by scent. This is a bit more unbalancing then above but I don't see a major problem.

Note: I have already house-ruled the above features back in our game but I just want to know the reason behind the changes in the first place, just in case I am missing something.

Before my time I'm afraid, you'd have to try trawling the old forum posts. I suspect however that it was either how Travis had it in his campaign (used as the basis of the BRCS) or something going on in the D&D world at the time.
