[top]Biography

Ardenna is Devlyn's great-great-grandaunt. A whimsical sidhe woman prone to bouts of violent bitterness when she recalls the friends, lovers and children slain by humans and goblins over the millennia, Ardenna can also be as playful as a child, such is the contradictory nature of the sidhe.

A few years ago Ardenna slaughtered a number of merchants in the pay of Adaere Doneim for trying to water their oxen in a pool inhabited by a Naiad friend. To prevent the realm being embarrassed Fhileraene sent Ardenna away in a form of quasi-exile. On being sent to Dhoesone Devlyn called Ardenna to his side and she has been there since.

Ardenna is loyal to Devlyn, and considers defending the sidhe of Dhoesone from the 'Rjuven invaders' a great honor, while she enjoys 'playing' with human males when the whim takes her she often considers how best to attack this village or that to cleanse the 'western provinces of Tuarhievel'.

[top]Plots and rumors

[top]A wolf watching over sheep

Adaere Doneim has complained about attacks on his caravans for several years, Fhiele asked Devlyn to investigate to source of the forest bandits and he promised to do so. Ardenna has been tasked with dealing with the problem, but the attacks are growing in frequency and boldness and Doneim is threatening to whelm his own troops to hunt down the bandits if the elves are not successful soon.

Ardenna remains relaxed about the ongoing banditry, she frequently blames the merchant for his woes, perhaps if his people hired more guards and kept to more traveled areas avoiding the deep woods they would be safe?

[top]Old debts endure in eternal hearts

While idly hunting 'poachers' (to Dhoesonean eyes, a noble hunting party) one day Ardenna was struck by the way that a human servant girl to one of the poachers resembled a friend she had had a millennia or so before. Ardenna's sorcery revealed that the girl was indeed a descendant of her friend and Ardenna immediately set her heart on 'restoring' the girl to 'her proper place'.

After some thinking Ardenna came up with an idea, she plans to charm the poachers into leading a caravan into the Giant Downs which will include the girl. In the Giantdowns the caravan could be ambushed and destroyed without upsetting anyone with a slaughter on Dhoesone soil, the girl would then be rescued by the elves. The long trip home should prove if the girl can take easily to a sidhe lifestyle, or if some more complex plan would be needed. Ardenna has found some pliable bandits to carry out the attack, she just needs to convince the poachers to set out on their expedition now - fortunately and she knows just the spells needed.
