[top]Biography:

Aesa Hafgrimsdotter comes from the middling sort, including a long line of clerks, skalds, scholars, and druids. Hjalmar Helder, the Chancellor selected her to supervise his Scriptorium because of her deep loyalty. Hjalmar and her father, Hafgrim the Sweet, a skald of some note, were old friends from their early days. Hafgrim was devoted to Helder and the skald's daughter retains his devotion to the man who is now the Chancellor of Stjordvik and relies on her loyalty and discression in a very delicate business, for Aesa's scribes, among their many duties, break codes and secret letters written without the aid of magic.
