    Strength in 3E is exponential. Every 5 points of strength means you carry
    twice as much. this means that a Strength score of 0 (zero) is 1/4 as strong
    as a Strength score of 10. It also gives a meaning to negaive Strength
    scores (though these are not used in DnD). A Strength of -10 would be 1/16
    as strong as Str 10.

    The same applies to high Strength scores 15 Strength is twice as strong as
    10 Strength and so on.
