I’ve recently been rediscovering some idea’s on a Birthright World Manager (BWM). I thought I’d throw my latest idea to the wind for your input.

I was thinking that the BWM uses a single text file to represent each province. That file contains information on all troops and holdings within the province, and the province information itself. Additionally the turn that the file was last modified is also placed in the file. By doing this, the information that each player contains on a province can vary between players. Enter diplomacy and spies. The information in these files can be gathered, traded, or even stolen from other players. A player that wishes to invade a neighboring realm could spend a few turns gathering information on troop locations and such.
