I was pondering something like this myself, but searching the net for OGC
feats found me something close to what I wanted. This is from memory, but
    it`s the gist.

Team fighting: when adjacent to one or more other characters with the
feat, gain +1 to melee attack and +1 AC.
I think this requires a +1 BAB as its prerequisite, so it would be open to
    first level warriors.

    What I was pondering:
Unit fighting: (Prereq: +1 BAB) For each character adjacent to you, who
also has the feat, gain either +1 to melee attack or +1 AC. Thus, a
character in a single line, with comrades on either side, would get +2
points to distribute to attack and AC as he saw fit. A character in a
double line, with five adjacent comrades, would get +5 to distribute; a
character in the middle of a tortise formation, surrounded by 8 comrades,
    would get a +8 bonus.

Normal: characters can aid others in melee, by making an attack vs AC 10.
If successful, you can add +2 to either the attack or AC of the person
    you are aiding.

I kind of like my version better, as it makes a cohesive unit a really
fearsome fighting force, and could make a group of well-disciplined
soldiers a threat to somewhat higher level characters, at least in melee.

You might want to just make it max out at +1 or +2 and reserve greater
benefits for an "Improved" and/or "Greater" (maybe even epic level)
    versions of the feat.

You could also consider having the benefit determined a little differently
than only for those who fight in a sort of phalanx style. That is, the
feat could give a +1 bonus for the first 1-3 characters in a fighting force
who have it and are within 20` of each other, +2 for the next 4-6,
etc. You could use this in combination with the previous feat progression
idea--have the +1/1-3 characters bonus available for the first feat, +2 for
the Improved version, +3 for the Greater, etc.

Some folks might object to this mechanic as supplanting the way flanking
works. (Not me... I think it might be a good idea to tweak the way
    flanking works, but be aware.)

Personally, I handle this kind of thing using a version of the Command
skill, which is kind of an obverse version of the above feat. That is, it
allows a character who steps back and directs combat to add +1 to the
values (AC, to hit, damage) for the characters he directs. There`s no
reason, really, why a party couldn`t have both a "commander" and
individuals with feats that improved their teamwork, gaining bonuses right
and left (literally) as well as from a distance.... Kind of munchkinny, I
guess, but I don`t usually object to munchkinny AND fun/playable, and I
think this would be the latter.

you have group fighting feats from Creative Mountain Games (Group
Combat - A Lexus Supplement. I saw it on ENWorld). You have several others
in The NetBook of Feats (Close Order Combat, Concentrated Attack, Pack
Attack, Rank Fighting and Team Fighting) and in Lords of Darkness (Phalanx
    Fighting).

For your feat, I think you should put a cap to the maximun bonus you can
earn: +5 is way too much. Hope it helps,

    Vicente

A version of the netbook was where I saw Team Fighting, yeah, I guess I
missed the others, but I was just skimming. Right now, I`m thinking cap
it at BAB. A warrior 1 would only get a single point bonus, no matter how
    large his unit.

    Thanks.
