In the previous thread we mentioned what we like in the birthright setting.

is there anything which is disliked ?
my purpose is now to lead you into the Pallace where you shall have a clear and delightful view of all those various objects, and scattered excellencies, that lye up and down upon the face of creation, which are only seen by those that go down into the Seas, and by no other....

Sometimes the lack of constancy in the product lines bugged me. The three hundred tighmaevril weapons(a figure of speech before anyone takes me on this), the player's sourcebook which always seemed to contain one or two outrageous elements(Not to mention the Tuarhievel sourcebook with an human on the Thorn Throne, the Endier sourcebook with its famous tighmaevril mine, etc...), the adventures which always ended up containing generic non-birthrightish concepts, etc...

That is the part that bugged me the most in the BR line. Oh, and not to mention the fact someone with a bloodline of 45 could end up with less blood abilities than someone with a bloodline of 20.
    Respectfully submitted,

    "Worst Editing Ever"

There is not much that can be done about it unfortunately. Except going
through them with a fine-toothed comb and picking oout all the stupid
    bits.

Hmm, if anyone is planning on doing that with PS: Medoere or Blood
Enemies I recommend a shovel, instead of a comb.

How about a dragline ? There`s one at Mount Isa capable of four-and
one-half cubic acres per scoop, should be able to clear it up in a few
    months no probs.

Queenslands Mt Morgan -- the prototype for Mt Deismaar. (Mount Morgan is
    - after many years of mining - no longer a mountain, but a
mountain-sized hole in the ground as deep as it once was tall)

I´d have to say the inconsistency between several books. The Gorgon mysteriously losing his mage class but keeping his sources, the low-magic-setting with lots and lots of supposedly unique or extremely rare magic items, the Chamberlain being a fighter/diviner despite the fact that diviners don´t exist in Cerilia (that´s the magicians´ job), the Brecht wizard/psionicist in Blood Enemies (psionics in Cerilia?), and so on.
A tighmaevril mine in Endier?? Ouch. Well, you can´t find alloys in mines anyway, so I´d call it a typo. A big one ;) .
And placing the Mhor´s niece on the Thorn Throne wasn´t exactly smart IMO. At least if she survives it´s gonna be a half-elf sitting there soon :) .
300 tighmaevril weapons, that´s good. Don´t tell the Gorgon about it ;) .

    Here ist what I dislike:

    - the maps; they are not enough detailed, no landmarks, nearly no roads,
instead silly domain-names (which nobody needs at all).
that makes "travel" adventures very hard.

    - the pantheon; it's unbalanced, the portfolios seem to be randomly
    distributed, only two evil gods

    - the placement of the awnsheglien; they seem to be around at which place
they are playable, that is slightly unrealistic (every region has
one good realm, one bad realm, one awnsheglien, one monster realm....)
my purpose is now to lead you into the Pallace where you shall have a clear and delightful view of all those various objects, and scattered excellencies, that lye up and down upon the face of creation, which are only seen by those that go down into the Seas, and by no other....

What I feel sorry for, is the few material to play with. You can count the books with two hands and even a good DM lacks of story sometimes....

The numbers of enemies around a PC realm I dislike (not only awnsheglien). The seems to be always an indifferent and some enemy realms there. Realistic?

With the thing of the cerilian pantheon I agree with Azrai. There should be more gods...

The thing with the domain record sheet. If you want to go on an adventure, to should "plan" this in your domain actions. Are you at court alone? Say to your underlings: This, this and this do until I'm back and finish!
May Khirdai always bless your sword and his lightning struck your enemies!

Inconsistency, inconsistency and inconsistency. When a friend of mine and I
first bought the setting, we immediately picked up Talinie ("hey, this isn`t
bad") and Warlock ("How the *&%# do you run this?! Devas? What are
those?"). The Anuire map has no roads marked on it. The lists of Anuirean
fleets and trade routes in CoS was thoroughly illogical. And so on. Running
this world has been a continual struggle to define and synthesize differing
information-- some of which has been useful, in that it made me think, but
    still time-consuming.

    Question -

Not that I want to point out WOC`s problems, but has anyone thought about putting
together a list of "inconsistencies" in the BR game from the published
materials? In that I mean anything that TSR put out from the original box up
until the line was discontinued (not including the 3e conversion manual --
obviously it`s not out yet). We could include the novels and anything published
in the Dragon mag. All of this could be posted on BR.net.

    What`s everyone`s thoughts?

    Joe
