    Hey all,

A couple of months ago, I purchased a used copy of Birthright from my FLGS. When I bought it, the label on the box said that it was lacking the war cards. No big deal, I thought... I'd somehow acquire them later.

Well, it's now later, and I've finally decided to do something with the setting. Anyone know where I could purchase a complete set of war cards (from the basic set) seperately and cheaply? Barring that, anyone know if they're available online somewhere as an image scan? Before any anti-piracy zealots decide to jump down my throat, I'd like to remind you that I DID purchase the game.

If it comes to it, I'd even settle for a complete list of the cards with descriptions of their associated values and card text (and then make my own war cards).

I recently read a Usenet posting that pointed someone with a similar problem to the free Book of Regency, and while it looked like a nice addition to the game, the only troop list that it had didn't seem to list the various values for a unit after X number of hits (nor for that matter, did it tell how many hits the unit is supposed to start with).

Any help with this would be appreciated! I'd really hate to have to buy another box set, since the cards are all that I'm missing.

    Regards,
    Corporate Dog

Errr... okay, that handles most of my problem, but how do I handle diminishing Melee/Charge/Missile values when units take hits? Those values aren't listed on the chart.

Is there some general/implied rule that combat values are diminished by roughly the same ratio of hits taken to total hits available (down to a minimum of one)?

In other words, if a unit can take 3 hits, and has Melee/Charge/Missile values of 4/6/2, would the damage progression go something like this...?

    0 hits: 4/6/2
    1 hit: 3/4/1
    2 hits: 1/2/1
    3 hits: 1/1/1

Morg, I can't get any action out of the site that link leads to.

Corporate Dog: Just in case you have the same problem, I have a copy of Table 8 that includes the changes each characteristic undergoes as the unit takes hits. Send me your e-mail addy (via that Msg button) and I'll forward it to you, or you can wait for me to finish checking the "specials" for errors and get it from the writer's guild later.

Nabron (or anyone else) - can you send me a copy of those warcards?

If anyone else has a great link to get a copy of the war cards, I'm about to start up my first Birthright game.

    Thanks in advance!

    Christian
