Thread: Birthright NWN Site

Does anyone want to see a website dedicated to Birthright NWN projects, where you can post news about upcoming project, link to completed ones, find people to help you with you own projects, etc.
I'm willing to create one, but I need to see if there is any need for such a website before I set it up. Oh, I will be creating a website for my own NWN projects anyway, but I thought a site where you can find out about upcoming projects would be a good idea.Let me claim your Birthright!!

The page would be at http://www.chariot.net.au/~hoss/nwn
(Not completed yet)
Also, I'll be looking for a 2-5 people to assist with a couple of the projects I have planned, mostly to do the scripting, something I know I'm going to be terrible at (unless I get my brother, who's a programer to help out). Also playtesting, and maybe some of the design work.
Of course, it will be a week until I get the game (not released until the 3rd of july here in Australia) so will have to wait until then before starting anything.Let me claim your Birthright!!

I will probably need some assistance, probably with the scripting. I do have my brother helping, but he won't be doing any of the actual work, just helping out if I get stuck.
Here is a couple of thing I have planned that need a fair amount of scripting (I'm assuming, haven't looked into doing it yet).
First, I'm planning to have blood abilities in the game, or at least powers that grow as the character discovers his heritage. The game begins in a tavern on Wizard's Island, not far from the college.
The character has been travelling to the city to meet with a long lost relative after his family was killed in a goblin raid in Mhoried. From there he/she will discover a long lost noble heritage and if certain events occur will discover a blood power. However, I want the blood powers to be different for each character (to similuate different bloodline derivations), so I was planning to have a NPC in the starting inn where the PC begins (a member of the Imperial Heraldic society). If the PC talks to the NPC, then he will be recognised as a member of a fallen noble family, and thus will begin his quest to rediscover his bloodline.
Of course, that is only a side issue, the real adventure will be the college of sorcery, which will be a HUGE dungeon and include appearances by the Manslayer, the Chimaera (in her half-elf form to begin with, and possible her true form later if I can find a creature that resembles her). Monsters will only be a small part of the adventure though, it will mainly be a roleplaying/puzzle adventure, where you have to discover the clues that lead you to the solution to opening the door to the next level.
I'll get back to you with more info if you like, but for now I have to play the game a bit and then play around with the toolset to see what I can come up with.Let me claim your Birthright!!
