Non-Cerilian elves.

I`ve been working on an Oriental Adventures BR campaign and I`ve got most
of my human races. I`m going with a few non-human races as well. Not
those in the OA text, but a humanoid lizard race and a humanoid race kind
of like the thri-kreen. I`ve also been considering the traditional D&D/BR
races. OA has it`s own version of dwarves, and it seems to me that
halflings should exist in a BR-OA campaign since they come through the
Shadow World, but what about elves? Should there be non-Cerilian
elves? If so, what should they be like? Anyone have thoughts on this?

I had some ideas about Thaele, the continet north of Cerilia and Aduria,
but I had no time to work on it. Somone started working on Thaele
expansion, so I gave him my ideas, and never heard from him again. I
hope he has the time to finish the expansion in future.

My idea is that part of Elves fled Cerilia when humans came, and went
farther north, to Thaele, where they met new races, some hostile, some
friendly(good spot to insert some cliché races like Orcs and Gnomes).

Once there, the Elves reestablished their great Empire, leaving the
other races alone and defending against aggressors when necessary.
However, the day came when Thaele Elves, keeping watchful eyes on
Cerilia, realized that Humans are bound to try to settle Thaele sooner
or later. So, they gathered the Council of highest-ranking nobles,
greatest warlords and wizards, to decide what to do.

Unspeakable happened on the council. The Elves nearly started fighting
each other, two factions arguing wether it is better to offer friendship
or war to Humans. When it was clear that friendly faction is overvoting
the aggressive one, they left the hall in protest, and started the first
civil war in the history of Elven Empire. After years of warfare, the
Elves lost a lot of territory to other races, and the factions were
separated from each other, on to the west and one to the east. However,
the other races soon learned of Humans from their Elven enemies and
allies.

As the time passed, two Elven kingdoms gained their supporters and
allies among the native races of Thaele, forming to great blocks of
power, ready for another bloody war.
