An imperial council or senate does seem like it is needed for just about any

could do with a game like this on a political level.

Every human sub-race except the Rjurik have had their "Empire" (Golden

I have been entertaining the idea of an Avanilam (Islam) empire out of
Khinasi. That is interesting to ponder. The ghengis khan of the orogs
    sweeping across Cerilia.

    ciao,

Avani religion doesn`t seem that fanatic, but so wasn`t Islam when it
was created. Maybe some powerful group could try to make of Khinasi
religion what was made of Islam in real world?

BTW, don`t compare Mongols with Orogs, it`s not really nice. And Orogs
    don`t ride horses.

actually, from what I`ve noticed, the Khinasi religion is more like
Zoroastrinism(sp?) than any type of Islam. the worship of flame and the
sun as a cleansing force, and a few other elements.

Try not to bring anything into fantasy worlds that even remotely
resembles Christianity. You`ll get the religious zealots on our backs.
Ditto for Islam (perhaps double) - does anyone know if they have a
better sense of humor than the papists ? (wouldn`t be hard) :-)

Sorry but the study of religions is my primary hobby so I can relate to the
structure of their history to the game. Like anyone I tend to see the world
through what I know. btw Islam was always fanatical or it would not have
survived the harsh environment they lived in. (I just had to get that off my
chest even though you didn`t say it.)

    ciao,

    Paul

I too do religious studies, and would hate to see such a rich mine closed
    off for exploitation.
