Awnshegh isn't pronounced ORN-shay, but awn-SHAY. That's on page 3 (3rd paragraph of The Legacy of Kings) of the Birthright Rulebook from the 2nd edition box. It states that Awnsheghlien is pronounced awn-SHAY-lin.

Indeed, blood enemies also stress the second syllable. An easy edit fortunately, well spotted. I moved the stress in the Ehrsheghlien page, but wasn't sure if that should be er-SHAY-lin or air-SHAY-lin - a quick look in BE didn't show a definitive answer.

I changed it over to "air-shay-lin", as that is the only way I can see how to pronounce"ehr".

Ius Hibernicum, in nomine juris. Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum sonatur.

In practice, I expect that the chances of everyone pronouncing words in the sidhe language correctly from Taline to Coeranys is fairly slim. Travel is tough enough for regional dialects to be quite strong.

Having not looked at the pronunciation for a long time (possibly never) I've been pronouncing the 'lien' at the end as 'lee-inn' rather than just 'lin', meh, sometimes a game changes big things, sometimes little... :rolleyes

That's better that what I've been doing... since I found brwiki I've been pronouncing them exactly the way they are spelled, awn-SHEG-lee-in.
