I looked at the timeline for this League, which I believe I pulled from the Cerilian Timeline. It seems to suggest that the League only formally existed for 4 years. Surely such an alliance would have lasted much longer, with the early years spent bickering etc.
In RL, the Hanseatic League was founded in 1356 but many years before that were filled with alliances being made between members. The first major war (according to Wikipedia mind you) was against Denmark in 1361-1370.
Kenneth, you are one of our resident historians and the one who started this page. Does the timeline of the Free League of Brechtur seem real enough to you?
