I have been needing maps of the regions on the wiki for a while, so I have started the ball rolling with one for Anuire from the Complete Cerilia mashup that some great person made up. However, it has to be a large image to keep all the names readible. This means that every time someone loads the Anuire page, they have to load the big page as well.
I would like to make a thumbnail version, use it on the Anuire page but have it link to the larger map's page. However, it seems that our version of mediawiki doesn't allow "link=....." as an image option (cf. BRWiki:Sandbox/3). Any suggestions? Is there anything I have missed/forgotten in my rush?
Is it safer just to have a link to the map on the Anuire page without the map actually appearing, thumbnail size or otherwise?

media wiki lacked that option for quite some time, and has it only implemented recently.
therefor we are still using the imagelink extrension.
here you see a list of extensions we use:

i have updated the sandbox3 with a working example

Okay... I haven't added the smaller versions and the links yet, but the big maps are uploaded. I have been working quickly and mainly from memory, so tell me if I have chopped off any provinces etc that need to be in a region.
The images are at:

Well I can't claim the creation of the maps. The original mashup of the various maps is the work (i think) of Drakkan which he gave to us in 2006. I have just cropped the Cerilia version into the five regions because I have found it hard to remember which realms and provinces are near each other when working on the wiki, especially when I'm not on my normal pc. Plus the wiki needs more maps in order to make the realm data useable.

I think they named it "Lost Realm" because...the province was always unnamed! For what I know it is an independent elf realm, but I am not sure it is official.
Also the Spiderfell as 0 level province doesn't make much sense:there are lot of humanoids inside.

Spiderfell
I seem to recall that someone once had a map of Spiderfell as two separate provinces. Can anyone remember where that came from?
In our campaign, my druid became the regent of Spiderfell after Teodor killed the Spider (big background action). I was ruling the Fell with a level 1 temple (my grove) and level 1 law holding (legal control over goblin communities and what humans lived there). The gnolls havefled out. I don't know what the sources were but they were still under the control of Caine.
