    Bloodline Conversion

    Hey.

Working on the signifigant NPCs for a Daikhar Zhigun wiki entry, and I've run into a problem. I think a few of the stated bloodline levels, specificly Kallen Pickbiter and triple delta epsilon tau secret edition specificly Ghus Feuerscorn, are too low when halved as per standard BRCS. This is especially so when compared to Morathos Everdark's bloodline, which seems like one that's way more suited to a progressive dwarf king who's noted as being from a powerful, ancient bloodline.

Personaly, I think the editing fairy missed something, but what's there is there. Is there, like, a place to appeal this sort of thing, or should I just post what I think is fair, or what's the jist of the procedure here?

Well, it's a wiki and that by its nature means that any sensible edits are welcome. The only pages you can't edit are those that are locked (eg. BRCS pages). You will know them when you try to edit them.

But if doing major edits, then consider the following:
    1) Are you adding details?
    2) Are you making obvious corrections?
    3) Are you providing an alternative approach/history/stats to those already on the page?
    4) Is the existing page "lore" from actual AD&D publications?

If the answer is 1 or 2, then I would say you can just edit the page as you wish. If you get it wrong, then hopefully someone else will (in the long run) correct your editting.

If the answer is 3 or 4 then I would add your stuff onto the page as an alternative, or stick your stuff on a new page as an alternative. This has already been done for a few characters and domains. See http://www.birthright.net/brwiki/ind...d_von_Zarovich for a new version of the Vampire's Hold, http://www.birthright.net/brwiki/ind...rld_Vorostokov versus http://www.birthright.net/brwiki/index.php/Vorostokov versus http://www.birthright.net/brwiki/index.php/The_Mistmoor, http://www.birthright.net/brwiki/ind...leir/low_magic versus http://www.birthright.net/brwiki/ind...bher_Nichaleir.

This new page can be included as "your own" if it is what you used in your campaign by making it a User:ThatSeanGuy/Daikhar Zhigun page or just a general alternative.

And, of course, you can just discuss it here on the forum first.

Okay, cool. Yeah, I wanted to add details to DZ ala some of the other wiki entries on there. I got inspired by the whole, "A whole wiki of Players's Secrets." things.

    Thank you!

Well the bloodline conversion levels are different then they were in the BRCS-playtest now.

Chapter 2 has been revised and sanctioned and is posted on the pinned section of this thread. IIRC the wiki now uses this version for chapter 2 also.

Basically the score is not halved anymore - this was changed to maintain some consistency with the 2nd ed material. So if you are attempting a conversion from 2nd ed material the score value should remain the same.

Oh! Gee, I didn't know the changes were so signifigant. That probably explains all of those feats I don't recgonize, either.

    Thanks for the heads up.
