Thread: The Serpent

In blood enemies it says he almost never leaves his underground tunnels. The book does state that he can cast in the serpent-man form. I like to think that his animalistic side takes control as a Constrictor and he loses the ability to focus on something like casting (like rage.)

One more thought to him. Two ideas I was tossing around.

    1. Should we give him the scent ability when in Constrictor form? You wouldn't typically get it as an alternate form ability but because he has been able to turn into a snake for centuries he might have gotten used to his form enough to get that extra ability.

    2. We could also give him a tail slap attack. It reduces his main damage on the bite (no 1.5 str bonus,) but we could attached a grab attack like a dragon, giving two different ways for him to start a grapple. One in the mouth where we will try to eat you and one in his coils. The old blood enemies book said he could have up to 5 medium creatures trapped in his coils at once.

    Thats it.

PS: Added a picture of The Serpent ... to Jazz up the page.

If we are assuming that his yuanti (snake-man) form is his natural form, he is likely to have scent naturally. After all, the whole point of awnsheghlien is that they lose their humanoid forms as time goes on and their own power increases.
