I have noticed that many sites are sponsored by x product. I see no problem with that, but I am sick an tired of windows popping up, telling me about some great product I NEED to buy. So far I have been more or less able to avoid them, as I mostly brows RPG-related sites and they tend to be "above" that. But to my horror!!! I was "attacked by not one, two or three popup windows, but four, when I went to www.birthright.net (does it look familiar?). I cannot force my opinion on you, but I would strongly BEG of you to disable those immediatly! If I want advertisements for a Boyband or a new xxx I can go to other parts of the internet.
So please...

Is it possible you had more than one window open and were browsing different sites?
I know that I frequently have several browser windows open, and if one site has pop ups, then it will often appear on my screen regardless of which window I am actually currently viewing.
There are no pop ups on Br.net. This is private space.
BTW, there is a small program out there for freebie download that kills pop ups. It is basically a javascript thingy ma do that keeps 'new browser windows' from opening.
Check Two Cows or something for a thing called "Pop Up Stopper" if you are interested. I've tried it, and it works."You need people of intelligence on this mission... quest... thing."

It sounds to me like the type of internet service you are using. I have never had a pop up window.

I have also never received a popup window when I was on the birthright.net site. In support it is usually the only window I have open at the time. So my guess is that your provider may be running a stream along with your access if in fact you only had one window open at the time.

The only thing i am very proud of is that this site has NO banners/popups or whatever. I hate them myself and swore not to place any on BRnet.
the only links to other sites here on BRnet are the links under afiliated sites, thats all you guys are going to get from me.
probably you went to a site where a "on winclose" function is build in. when you leave that certain site it activates a javascript from where you get all these popups.
