Anyone ever try introducing a tribe or so of these guys? Where would you stick them, if you did?

I use centaurs as a rare creature on Cerilia (although they would be more common on the Aduria mainland). If I would put a tribe of them anywhere it would be on the island to the south east of Aerenwe (the name escapes me at the moment), protecting the fey folk that inhabit the island. I also have them as common in the parts of the Shadow world that are controlled by the Seelie and Unseelie.

Cael Corwin? Not a bad idea. I want to introduce them in a very small number. I might use this.

    Centaur origns

Another possibility is that they could be refugees from the Shadow World, the Halflings left long ago as the taint of the Cold Rider began to spread but that doesn't mean that others couldn't migrate much later. That would suggest however that they might still have some magical abilities of some sorts although these would weaken over time.

Otherwise they could be the offspring of an Ehrsheghlien or the unfortunate victims of a freak magical occurrence.

Failing that Torova Temylatin must have someone living on it beside antique Basarji priests.

I always thought they would be a good placement in the
Sielwode and other elven realms little touched by man.
Lluabraight (sp?) in the north wouldn`t be a bad
    place for them either...another elven realm of course;
but it just seems a better fit than Tuarhieval for
    some reason.

I`m not sure, but I think I even remember a DM having
them in the deeper parts of the forests of Aerenwe.

I was DMing with him at the time...but taking care of
players on the other side around Diemed (Endier and
Medeore). I thought it made sense...with the way the
Erebannian (sp? again!...don`t have my books in front
    of me).

As for other lands on Cerilia...any forest little
touched by civilization would be a good spot for them.
They would even make good followers of a Wizard
Regent that guarded his Source Holdings!

They could be results of the Lost mages` compsite creatures, like the
"Minions of the Lost" in the SW book.

    Centaurs

I guess this isn't totally related, but...

I have always been intruiged by the relationship that would exist between Centaurs and BR Elves. Which, of course, leads to the views that Centaurs may have about the various humans.

I have developed that in a Rjurik campaign and it was a really cool tool to use with the area near the Giantdowns. It really through the players for a loop after the first encounter and generated quite the discussion.

I missed something-- what *is* the surprising relation between elves and
    centaurs?

Never placed any centaurs in Cerilia. But legends of the "horse-men" of northern Aduria circulated frequently on the South Coast. I had some centaur tribes live in the area south and west of Mieres; where they spent their days battling gnolls.
