    Baruk-Azhik

    Warning- possible spoilers ahead... maybe...

    Hi all-

I was just looking at the timeline of Cerilia. It says that in 1522 HC, Grimm Graybeard, the overthane of Baruk-Azhik, died. That's two years earlier than the baseline starting year.

No mention of this is made in the Ruins of Empire book, nor any other book that i have. Is this i a typo, or is it mentioned in Players Secrets of Baruk-Azhik? If that's the case, then who now rules Baruk-Azhik, and why (the apparent) secrecy over Grimm's death?

    Thanks for the input!

All "Players Secret" assume that the player characters take over the domain. Therefore the originally regent has to be excluded somehow from the campaign world. In nearly all "Player Secrets" you find some proposals for this. Either the old regent is lost or dead.
my purpose is now to lead you into the Pallace where you shall have a clear and delightful view of all those various objects, and scattered excellencies, that lye up and down upon the face of creation, which are only seen by those that go down into the Seas, and by no other....

Or "retired" for contemplative reasons - see Moedore and Suris Enlien.

OK, i get that a PC realm needs to get rid of the `baseline' ruler.

But why would he then be listed as dead in the official timeline? The official timeline would mean that he's dead in every time line. Particularly since it says he died two years ago.

Well, as much as we love and adore Birthright, they made some mistakes.

I write this up as one of them.
