Carrie Bebris Books
I was surfing around today and found something that might be of
interest to the BR community: Mystery novels (apparently) by BR
author/alum Carrie Bebris.

Hey,
I actually know her, her daughter goes to the school I teach at. She has written several mystery books and a novel in a role-playing setting as well.

That`s cool. I`m jealous. The BR designers to be subscribers to
birthright-l way back in the day so listers could ask questions and
get responses from them. That kind of access to the creators of
original material is increasingly rare these days since it is so time
consuming for them, but it was nice while it lasted.

Ah, now that`s about as cool as a walrus belly. Pleasure to hear
from the illustrious CBebris.
The continuing effort of the BR universe is really a comment upon the
strength of its original ideas and core themes. Those ideas are what
give it the longevity that allow for the fan efforts seen here. We
can only hope that can be picked up by others. I`m still waiting on
the Peter Jackson interpretation of the BR history portrayed on
Celluloid... though I confess I`m not looking forward to seeing Grimm
Graybeard reduced to comic relief....

BTW, I`d be interested in any updates as to what the BR designers are
up to at the moment. When I came across those books, for instance, I
was very interested to see where folks have wound up and what kind of
material they are producing. A "cast watch" kind of update would be
most welcome....
